2024 Polar Express – The Hottest Ticket in Town!

MCCS MCFTB hosted the annual Polar Express at Four Winds on Parris Island, Tuesday, 3 December.  This magical journey whisked families away to a winter wonderland, kicking off the holiday season with a night of festive fun and family joy.

MCRD Units worked tirelessly to decorate their displays, each bringing a unique theme to life: H&S Battalion showcased 'Hot Cocoa Heroes,' RTR featured an 'Elf Snowball Fight,' 1st Battalion transported families to 'Christmas on Island Hawaii,' Support Battalion created the 'Elf Lincoln Tunnel,' Weapons Battalion thrilled with 'Nightmare Before Christmas,' 2nd Battalion delighted with 'Candy World,' and 3rd Battalion charmed with 'Elf on the Shelf.' These displays were crafted not only to spread joy but also to compete for unit funds. Families boarded trams and buses, embarking on a magical ride through Parris Island to marvel at the creative masterpieces. The excitement reached its peak as families cast their votes for the best displays, culminating in these well-deserved winners:

1st Place: 2nd Battalion
2nd Place: 3rd Battalion
3rd Place: Weapons and Field Training Battalion

Dressed in festive pajamas, families sipped on hot cocoa—perfect for the crisp winter night—and nibbled on warm cookies as they soaked in the holiday magic. Children’s eyes sparkled with wonder as they visited Santa at the North Pole, making unforgettable memories. Adding to the joy, the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) helped children pen letters to Santa, ensuring their Christmas wishes were heard.

The Polar Express event was a night of wonder and delight, filled with laughter, community spirit, and holiday charm. For everyone aboard, it was a journey to remember—a true highlight of the season.
