SCHOOL LIAISON PROGRAM

Welcome to the beautiful Eastern Sierra! During your assignment at Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Command, the School Liaison Program is here to facilitate a smooth transition for your school-aged children. Eastern Sierra Unified and Douglas County School Districts have an Open Enrollment educational system. The School Liaison can help you navigate the educational system in order to make the best school choices for your children.

 

MISSION STATEMENT:

The mission of the USMC School Liaison Program is to promote awareness of the unique educational needs of military-connected children. 

 

School Liaisons:

  • Develop, coordinate, and engage in school and community partnership initiatives that foster academic success. 

  • Increase educator and community awareness of the Marine Corps mission.

  • Serve as the commander’s subject matter expert and point of contact for pre K-12 education related matters.

  • Provide military families and students with school transitions and academic support information and resources.
