Independence Day 250th Celebration

Join us for a spectacular Independence Day 250th Celebration filled with excitement, patriotism, and fun for the whole family! Our celebration promises an unforgettable experience with a variety of activities and attractions.

Marine Corps Base Quantico will host an Independence Day Celebration in commemoration of the 250th birthday of the United States of America. The event will have amusements, inflatables, yard games, food trucks and more! The celebration will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display. 

🎟️ Who can attend?

Open to all DoW ID Cardholders. (Please remember, Trusted Traveler is currently suspended aboard MCB Quantico. Any guest passes must be obtained in advance during VCC operating hours).
VCC operating hours: Mon-Fri: 6 AM - 3 PM | Sat: 7:30-11:30 AM | Sun: Closed

🎒 What should I bring?

💳 Cash or credit cards
☀️ Sunscreen and bug spray
📱 Fully charged cell phone
Other options:
🧺 Blankets and lawn chairs
🍪 Snacks for small children
⛱️ Canopies or sunshades (see Guidelines below)

⛱️ Canopies and Sunshades Guidelines:
Size: Canopies and sunshades must not exceed 10 ft x 10 ft.
Safety: We encourage canopy weights (sand or water). Stakes are not permitted and pose a tripping hazard.
Designated Areas: Canopies & Sunshades are permitted only in designated area.
Breakdown: All structures must be taken down by 8:45 PM to ensure unobstructed views.
Availability: First come, first served in designated area.
Wind Advisory: If winds reach 15 mph, all canopies and sunshades must be immediately taken down for safety.

🚫 What should I leave at home?

❌ Outside food or alcohol (Enjoy 17+ food trucks and beverage tents! Small snacks for children are welcomed.)
❌ Grills – Let the experts handle the cooking!
❌ Fireworks or sparklers – Leave the entertainment to the professionals.
❌ No pets permitted. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees, ONLY service animals will be permitted.

🚗 Where can I park?

Main parking: Overflow lot at Lejeune Field. Additional parking is located throughout the base.

🎆 Where can I watch the fireworks?

This year’s fireworks will be larger than ever! Spectators do not need to be close to the launching area to enjoy the show. Please be mindful of signage and barricades—they’re there for your safety.
