Enjoy a long trip to Tokyo to take in this fantastic city. Take part of the planned tours to shopping and sight-seeing areas, enjoy the magic of Disneyland or Disney Sea, or explore Tokyo freely.

Trip Overview
Depart Depart on July 1 (WED), at 10 PM from Bldg. 410, in front of IT&T Office.
Return Return to MCAS Iwakuni on July 6 (MON), at 10 PM.
Itinerary
Day 1 - WED, JUL 1
10:30 PM
  • Depart from MCAS Iwakuni at 10 PM, from Bldg. 410 in front of the IT&T Office
  • Sleep overnight on the bus.
Day 2 - THU, JUL 2
TBD We will take a lunch and shopping break in Ueno, one of the most popular tourist destinations, before checking in at the New Sanno Hotel. 
TBD After check-in, it is your free time
Day 3 - FRI, JUL 3
Optional Tour Tokyo Sightseeing to Tokyo SkyTree, Asakusa Temple, and Odaiba Area
  • The Tokyo SkyTree is the highest tower in Japan, standing at 634 meters high, with the two highest observation decks. Please visit the Tokyo Skytree website for more information.
  • The Large Lantern at Nakamise is the oldest shopping street toward Asakusa Temple.
  • Odaiba is a popular shopping and entertainment district on a man-made island in Tokyo Bay.
Free Time Or feel free to explore Tokyo at your own pace!
Day 4 - SAT, JUL 4
Optional Tour Tokyo Disney Resort (Disneyland/Disney Sea)
  • IT&T is unable to provide a Tokyo Disney 1-day pass.
  • Please purchase them on the Tokyo Disney Resort website.
  • For more information, please ask IT&T.
Free Time Or feel free to explore Tokyo at your own pace!
Day 5 - SUN, JUL 5
Free Time Enjoy Tokyo!
Day 6 - MON, JUL 6
TBA Check-out from The New Sanno Hotel.
10:30 PM Return to MCAS Iwakuni.

  • Participants are required to follow MCAS Iwakuni Travel Guidelines for Tokyo Prefecture.
  • If the minimum number of guests needed for this tour (15) is not reached by June 1, the tour will be canceled and money will be refunded.
  • If guest cancellation is made on or before June 1, there is a $5 cancellation fee per person.
  • If guest cancellation is made between June 2 and June 24, there is a two-night hotel fee and a $10 per person cancellation fee.
  • If guest cancellation is made on or after June 25, there is no refund.
